Our team of 80+, of which half the senior management team are women, are currently seeking engineers to work within a global, cross-functional, product-driven team.
About Our Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at BibliU, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of brilliant engineers and provide solutions to technical problems that have a direct impact on our customers. You will then take the solutions from concept to production with support from the team.
As a senior member of the team, you will have the opportunity to act as a mentor to more junior members of the team and to help shape our technical direction. We also work closely with other teams within Bibliu so you will have the chance to build relationships across the wider team and help deliver business objectives.
We are a fully remote team, across different time zones but maintaining a positive, open and collaborative team culture remains a priority to us. We have put in place lots of initiatives to keep connected; from fortnightly team online board games and company-wide social events to weekly catch ups and virtual tea breaks. In addition, you will also have weekly one on one sessions with your manager to make sure you are getting the support you need to complete your role and to help you in career progression.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Providing and implementing technical solutions.
Delivering those solutions on agreed upon timelines
Collaborating with your team and other teams to achieve company objectives
Owning the teams infrastructure
Providing code and scoping reviews
Responding to and handling incidents in our production systems
What we are looking for
Good understanding serverless architecture pertaining to AWS
Confident in SQL, bonus if experienced with mysql
Some experience with Elasticsearch/Opensearch
Individual contributor that enjoys working with a team
Recognize security best practices and the ability to implement and enforce them
An interest in statecharts as an application design pattern
